BC14 On Prem.

Our production and test environments share a Service Tier Server and a SQL server, but we have different SQL databases for both.

To refresh test, I use a RapidStart Configuration to export some setup tables from test that contain file export paths, etc., then a take a producion backup, restore it to the test SQL database and then import my setup files back to test using the configuration packages.

I have another business unit that I am supporting on NAV 2017. The have separate Service Tier and SQL server for production and test. We refresh test using the same process that I described above.

I was able to change the printer property to bypass the spooler and print directly to the printer….so far , so good.

Welcome Hawlii,

I am running BC14 on premise, but have not ever experienced the issue that you have.

My first thought are to try recompiling the object and/or reimporting it. Stopping and starting the BC service also could not hurt.

I think that the closest thing in the base product is the Item Age Composition – Value report. The Lanham Demand Planning add-on has an Item Ranking and Turns report. With a little development, you may be able to create a Slow Moving Inventory Report.

Hi Chris,

Yes, I am pretty sure that is the way it works. We looked at it earlier this year when we implemented purchase approvals for indirect purchases. I though we could have users enter a quote, get it approved and then convert it to an (approved) order.

To avoid an approval on the PO after the quote had already been approved, we decided to skip the purchase quotes. Users enter a purchase order and we just have an approval workflow on that.

Thanks for all of the responses.

I just learned that TLS can affect SMTP functionality from BC/NAV and that BC 14 Service defaults to using TLS 1.2 but this is controlled within the customsettings.config.
