If you added a new lookup to the solution then the relationship would be added. The related Table would also be added if it was not already in the solution. However, I do not understand why the relationships would appear one day and then be gone the next.

This is a great question!
Viva Sales is a great way to start. Also be on the lookout for all the co-pilot announcements. I do not think we have a date yet when this will be coming to Dynamics but it will help add AI for your users for standard Dynamics functionality.
You could also check out relationship insights and next best action.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/sales/configure-relationship-analytics
These are features that allow you to embed some AI insights into your sales process. Next Best Action is a new feature in this release wave and you can just turn it on, no configuration necessary! (of course you can refine it but no config to get started).
There is also AI Builder. This is a whole suite of AI tools that you can use with low code in Power Apps or Power Automate. I have a series on this currently going on: https://dynamicscommunities.com/ug/power-platform-ug/an-introduction-to-ai-builder-pre-built-models-in-power-platform/
Here are some other fun applications from my blog

I hope this helps you get started and get some ideas! 🙂

Can you share a bit more about the issues you are seeing? Are you using the old CRM for Outlook client or the newer D365 App for Outlook?
The App is much better and continues to improve. Plus, there are ways to customize. You can change the fields that show up when viewing the related records for an email or add additional Tables to track/regard against. I would also recommend you look at the User Settings Utility in XrmToolBox as you can use this to set some of the App settings such as which emails are tracked.
Then add on @heidineuhauser ‘s favorite thing – Viva for Sales! You will have all the power!

As far as I know, you cannot create an Excel Template from an existing workbook. You have to start by exporting the data and then building the template. That is because the template is based on the Dynamics data. So I suspect your error is because you do not have a tab of Dynamics data with the GUIDs and such. Good luck!

Sorry just catching up on my notifications! I would start with Viva Sales and the Next Best Action. Basically any of the AI offerings within Dynamics 365 is a great way to start. Then after you see the power you can start customizing and making your own.
