Convert Saved Excel CE Report to Template?
Hey all,
Is it possible to take an excel file that is actually a saved report that I created in CE and upload it as a template? The attached photo is the two entities I am using in my report.
This is the message I keep getting when I try to do that: “The file is invalid. The original data worksheet has been deleted or removed.”
If anyone has had any luck with something like this, I would appreciate the help!

As far as I know, you cannot create an Excel Template from an existing workbook. You have to start by exporting the data and then building the template. That is because the template is based on the Dynamics data. So I suspect your error is because you do not have a tab of Dynamics data with the GUIDs and such. Good luck!
