Highlights
00:41 — Intel, a well-known tech company that makes PC chips, recently shared details about its AI PC, which will “come with Copilot.” Aaron assumes this means that the solution will be embedded into the AI PC. The overall goal is to bring AI closer to the end-user, the apps they use, and the devices they run.
01:40 — The AI PC will include a system that comes with a neural processing unit (NPU), which will also have access to Copilot. This will speed up the process of machine learning (ML), notes Aaron, in addition to AI PCs being able to “run more elements of Copilot locally.”
03:22 — With Copilot, the NPU adds a compute capability that would decrease any system lags and potentially improve performance and privacy. Additionally, Microsoft announced earlier this year that it will be adding a Copilot key to PCs, making it easy to launch and run the application from a user’s device.
04:05 — What does this mean for users? Aaron shares a few takeaways:
- Copilot has stepped beyond the digital realm and into the physical
- AI functionality can now be processed more quickly, reducing the “lag” in AI output
- He predicts the Copilot key will eventually replace the standard Windows key on PCs
