I actually wasn’t aware there was an issue! When I saw your message, I checked my Power Platform Admin center and it looks like an update was applied:
June 5, 2023 1:07 PM EDT Ā· Quick update
“Telemetry indicates that service availability is at approximately 99.9% across the service. We’re continuing to isolate a small number of components which remain in an unhealthy state and are performing targeted restarts to remediate the residual impact.
This quick update is designed to give the latest information on this issue.”
Did that update your users/system successfully?

I want to make sure I understand your ask (requirement) here. Can you let me know if this is what you’re looking to do?
– You want to update Origin on the CASE to include Task, Appointment and Custom.
And once that is done, you need the following to be true:
– When an email is converted into a CASE, the Case Origin should equal Email.
– When a Task is converted into a CASE, the Case Origin should equal Task.
Or am I totally wrong and it’s something else?! š
Requirements are hard to get through typing only! Thanks!

Connections sounds like it could do what you’re looking for. Here’s a link to some MS documentation that may help: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customerengagement/on-premises/developer/connection-entities?view=op-9-1

This is an interesting post! I’ve not heard the negative feedback – what have you heard? There’s a native integration between Outlook & Dynamics 365. I’m not sure I would recommend a 3rd party tool when you can link them so easily. But that’s just me š
I look forward to hearing what others think!
@kyliekiser do you know of 3rd party tools for Outlook & D365?

I REALLY like the Pipeline View for Opportunities, available in Dynamics 365 for Sales. I suspect it’s only available for users with the Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise or Premium licenses, since Deal Manager is part of it.
Has anyone else played around with it yet?

::
Hi there Michelle! I’ve worked with Goals in Sales App. I’m not sure if Field Service are different? They’re very powerful but can be quite time consuming to set up initially. You can do annual goals, quarterly, monthly or other frequencies that meet your need. There’s a specific order to getting it all set up… check out this Microsoft Learn article – it walks you through all of it: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/sales/goals-overview
You’ll also need to think about your hierarchy. How many tiers is it?
– Aaron is my sales rep, he only sees his goals.– Michelle is the sale manager, she only sees goals for her sales reps.
– Heidi is the VP of sales, she sees everyone’s goals.
In this scenario, Aaron has a “Parent Goal” of Michelle’s specific goal that matches the frequency (for example, Michelle Q1 2023).
Michelle has a “Parent Goal” of Heidi’s specific goal that matches the frequency (ex/ Heidi Q1 2023).’
Heidi has no “Parent Goal” because she sees everything.
It gets complicated fast, right?! It gets easier and makes more sense as you do it, I promise!
Basically, you’ll do this, in order:
1. Create your goal metric (Count or Amount, then configure it)
2. Determine your frequency (Fiscal Period or Custom), then set up your parent goals first. I put all of these into one spreadsheet to upload. You need 1 line item for each goal frequency . This would be the top of your hierarchy, the user that has no Parent Goal. This spreadsheets gets imported first. Make sure there are no errors before doing the next level of your hierarchy!!
3. Next, set up the next level of your goals. Repeat #2 with the user in Step 2’s Goal Name as your Parent Goal. This is your second spreadsheet – make sure there are no errors before doing the next level of your hierarchy!
4. If there is another level of hierarchy, Repeat #3 with the users in Step 2 (when appropriate) Goal Name as your Parent Goal.
If you have more questions, let me know!
