Key Takeaways

  • New feature confusion: The rollout of new Copilot features, such as the suggested entries in Power Platform, can sometimes lead to confusion among users, potentially causing a user adoption dilemma.
  • Form fill assistance: The Copilot assistance for form fill-in in Model Driven apps uses predictive AI to suggest filling in missing pieces of form data, which can be incredibly valuable for efficiency. However, it’s important to train users on its functionality to prevent confusion and to manage the rollout to control when and how users receive these new features.
  • Using AI to suggest data entries: The feature in question is now generally available and may start appearing in user instances. It’s a preview feature in Power Apps and due to high demand, it may be intermittently unavailable. The form assistance is a powerful tool that uses AI to suggest data entries, but it can be confusing for users who are not familiar with it, hence the need to know how to disable it.
  • Accessing the feature: To gain control over the AI Form Fill assistance feature’s rollout, you can navigate to the Power Platform Admin Center, select Environments > Environment Settings > Features. Here, you’ll find the option for AI Form Fill assistance, which by default is set to roll out gradually to users. As a system administrator, you can change this setting to “No one” to pause the feature, allowing you time to train your users. Once ready, you can switch the setting to “All users immediately” to enable the feature for everyone.
