Highlights

00:07 — After introducing his co-hosts, John offers an update around Community Summit North America 2023. At the time that the Call for Speakers closed, there were over 1,200 users who submitted sessions to deliver during Community Summit.

Since then, the programming committees which are made up of Microsoft Dynamics users have begun analyzing the sessions to determine the final lineup of Summit. Additionally, John reflects on the pacing for this year’s event attendees and notes that “we’re pacing to be bigger than we were in 2022.” Finally, he encourages listeners to stay tuned for the announcements around speakers, sessions, and keynote presenters, which will be announced fairly soon.

03:22 — Pam recently spoke with Armanino about how the company is approaching Power Platform with some of its customers. Specifically, Armanino works with its customers to create “small, little apps to do small, little functions.” Typically, users react to Power Platform’s capabilities and consider it to be innovative, but an unsure of how to apply it within the context of their business.

John expands on the power of Power Platform, especially with the greater infusion of automation, Power Automate, and Power BI. He references a recent piece from UG Expert Kylie Kiser, who discusses key phrase extraction in AI Builder pre-built models, which exemplifies the power of this system.

06:48 Ryan shares a story from T-Mobile, which surprised him because he didn’t realize the company was such a big Microsoft player and user. T-Mobile recently implemented Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, in efforts to create company-wide visibility and access to company documents, operations, and communication. This implementation allowed T-Mobile to centralize its reports, enabling executives to come in and review things as necessary, creating a single version of the truth. By implementing this software, T-Mobile was able to “mitigate all the areas they aren’t really experts in,” suggests Ryan.

10:59 — “Having that foundation like T-Mobile does in place so you can focus on running the business rather than all these systems that support it, I mean, that’s where every user needs to get because it helps you take your business to the next level,” adds Pam.
