eDiscovery: The Hidden Gem within Microsoft Purview
If you work with Microsoft Fabric, you may be aware that you are responsible for all of the data that’s hosted in the cloud, which could have many implications for users. As a user of the cloud and based on its “shared responsibility” model, you are responsible for data security, access management, end-point management, data breaches, compliance, and data loss. This may sound scary at first glance, but this is the day-to-day of any IT department.
Without considering the cybersecurity aspect, let’s imagine a more mundane scenario. Are any employees or consultants moving internal data from corporate domains to personal domains? Similarly, has a terminated employee moved corporate files to a personal email address or their personal cloud drive?
There is a phenomenal tool inside Microsoft Purview called eDiscovery, which allows users to answer these questions and ensure data is secure in the cloud.
