4 Beneficial User-Defined Functions (UDFs) in Dynamics GP

Highlights

00:18 – The first of Hataley’s favorite Report Writer functions is Account Description. This function generates a description of the account that the account number is associated with. This is an accessible way to receive the index code for the account a user is defining.

01:08 – Account Number, another of Hataley’s favorite functions, outputs the “full string” once a user enters the index code.

01:30 – Segment Description is a clear way to identify the full name of the segment for an account if the account description does not have one.

02:06 – The Get Total Inventory Value function is a tool that informs users of their current inventory at hand and its dollar value. This can also be done by location.
