00:19 – Within Dynamics 365 CE, the platform is much more geared towards service-based companies that are trying to track resources, track employees by skill sets, view scheduling boards and time entry and expense entry.
00:40 – Dynamics 365 CE is what Microsoft considers the “resource non-stocked.” Companies are not using this product for stocked inventory purposes but rather, for services and people.
00:52 – There are three options for Project Operations that Microsoft offers to users. The Light is a standard option for clients that wish to do resource management and cannot be integrated with an ERP system. The other option is similar to The Light but can be integrated into an existing ERP system – many clients tend to integrate The Light in Dynamics 365 BC. Lastly, there is Resource Non-Stocked that can be fully integrated with Dynamics 365 FO. With Resource Non-Stocked, users can do everything from creating a quote or a contract to resource management.
