How Dynamics 365 BC/NAV Tracks Order Processing

In this Community Summit North America 2022 moment, excerpted from the Education sessions tailored to the Dynamics 365 BC/NAV User Group, Steven Chinsky, Manager – Operations and Supply Chain at Wipfli, explains how Dynamics 365 BC can be used for order processing and production.

Highlights

00:09 – Chinsky gives a demonstration on how Dynamics 365 BC can be used to track order processing. He displays a packing table that signifies how many orders have been produced. The packing table directs itself to a work center group.

00:23 – In Dynamics 365 BC, users can create Power BI Cosmo Jet reports that suggest how well a facility is doing based on the number of production orders produced.

00:45 – It is possible to keep track of hours worked on the production floor versus “dead time” or offline hours, especially within the shop floor and MES systems that are integrated into the front end of Dynamics 365 BC.
