Highlights

00:13 – Power BI is software that is free to use and download. Additionally, Power BI allows users the freedom to share static reports. The free license can be used on a mobile device, tablet, web browser or desktop.

00:59 – Power Query is the engine behind Power BI. When inserting data into Power BI, users will receive a visual representation of that data – the whole point behind the product is to enable business intelligence. However, as organizations receive their data back, often, something is not right.

01:34 – Power Query creates a repeatable process for users so that customers do not have to interfere with manual entry and data revisions. Power Query can load data into Excel and turn it into a usable report.
