On the Released products form in Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Supply Chain Management, there is a field called Product lifecycle state. This is a very versatile field that can provide valuable information on the status of a Released product. Many companies use this field to provide quick, visible information on a Released product’s lifecycle status.

Because this is a user-defined field, the Lifecycle state can be whatever a company needs to view on a Released product to help users understand where a Released product is within its lifecycle.
