Compliance in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations

00:08 – Compliance is the act of adhering to obligations that an organization or individual has. These obligations include statutory laws, regulations, or industry standards. Within an organization, these obligations can include different forms of controls or policies.

00:37 – Compliance, in general, is a journey. It involves taking small fractions of obligations, reviewing them, and finding ways to improve upon them.

01:03 – An organization or individual is responsible for defining prescribed controls or activities that enforce compliance. In Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, compliance controls are a means to an end – the end being compliance. However, Bakhtiari reminds the audience that compliance is a journey – once it is reached, it does not stop there.
