Academy Preview: Dynamics 365 CE (CRM) System Admin 101 & 201

System Admin CRM

D365 CRM system administrators are the steady background presence that maintains balance during daily operations. However, when not equipped with the proper infrastructure to support them, critical data is at risk of falling into the wrong hands. These incidents occur when admins fail to leverage the advanced solutions D365 offers, constraining them to repetitive management in place of sustained oversight.

This lack of utility derives from the fear that such tools require extensive training, disrupting the IT backbone meant to ensure access control. Yet, when accelerated by an expert, just a few days of education and hands-on experience are all admins need to first operate and then excel with the intricate CRM toolkits. So, join Microsoft MVP and CRM expert, Heidi Neuhauser, during her System Admin Academy Workshop running October 10-11 ahead of Summit NA 2026 to meet your access control needs through the exploration and application of D365 solutions.

This workshop, divided between a beginner course on October 10 and an intermediate course on October 11, will feature hands-on training for system admins with solutions grounded within the D365 CRM suite.

Across the first day, attendees will be trained to:

  • Configure an optimal D365 environment with creative tools such as solution management and Power Platform Admin Center
  • Implement effective system admin tactics by applying the D365 security model, customizing data, UI components, and search
  • Build and manage model-driven app experiences by creating business rules, validating changes during hands-on labs, and enabling Teams & Outlook integrations.

While the second day will prepare attendees to:

  • Set up advanced D365 settings and integrations that expand beyond the basics
  • Model and extend the data layer by creating/managing table relationships and using UI controls to enhance customer experience
  • Utilize Power Automate flows to expedite the analysis of business processes and evaluate specialized agents in first party apps

Those choosing to attend the 101 course will leave prepared to apply, integrate, and customize D365 solutions after just one day. While intermediate users attending the 201 course will walk away with advanced techniques to expand their D365 repertoire. Attending both days will earn attendees 16 CPE credits (8 each) to add to their credentials.
