00:59 — Jason creates a warehouse location in Elmira, New York, and turns on a few features:

  • Bin Mandatory
  • Require Put-away
  • Require Pick

If you navigate to Bin Policies > Put-away, the default is “Default Bin.” Instead, users should select “Put-away template.” Specify the template, and turn on the “Always create put-away line” feature.

04:21 — For the Elmira warehouse, Jason has three items and notes the Bin Locations and Bin Codes. He reviews the maximum and minimum quantities of each bin.

07:25 — Jason demonstrates how to do a Put-away. He pulls up a purchase order from Wide World Importers which has all three warehouse items in it, with a quantity of 20. He generates the Put-away one of the three items and notes what the system has done.
