Could it be that the exchange rate used on the transaction has expired by the time the batch is posted? Although I would expect that to be reported in an error message on the Multicurrency posting report, it was the first thing I thought of when you mentioned the batch could be open for a long time.

Hi Jennifer,
The publish button will create a new version of the report in the Report Library in MR Report Viewer, if the user viewing the report has the Edit box ticked under Report Library Permissions.
I have found it useful for when the users are constantly refreshing a report as they post entries in GP (so they are not generating new versions that they will never look at again and take up lots of space) so then when they are happy they publish the final version of the report.
I am not sure what happens if the user does not have the security to edit the report – it might just spin forever without producing any errors.

The way I understand it, the item will not be available to add to the SO from a location different than where it was received on the PO, until you do an inventory transfer from the PO site to the SO site.
To allow the new inventory item to be used at all the sites, you must assign the item to all the sites on the Site Item Assignments screen (accessed from the Go To menu on the Item Quantities Maintenance screen).
