Why You Should Attend Community Summit North America 2026 — And It’s Not Too Late to Register

If you work with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, you already know how quickly things can change. New features, new tools, new AI capabilities, new ways of doing things — and somehow, we’re still expected to keep up with everything else on our to-do lists.
That’s one of the reasons Community Summit North America 2026 is worth attending. This year, it takes place October 11–15, 2026, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Community Summit is a chance to step away from the day-to-day work, spend some time learning and, maybe most importantly, connect with other people who understand what it’s like to work with Business Central.
It’s About the Business Central Community
One of the best things about Summit is the people. You’ll be surrounded by Business Central users, partners, consultants, developers, accountants, finance professionals, and others who work with the platform every day.
Everyone has a different story and different challenges: Maybe you’re trying to figure out a better way to handle a process in Business Central. Maybe you’re getting ready for an upgrade. Maybe you’re looking for a solution to a problem you’ve been dealing with for months.
There’s a good chance someone at Community Summit has dealt with something similar. Sometimes a 10-minute conversation in the hallway can be just as helpful as a session.
See What’s New in Business Central
Business Central continues to change, and there’s a lot to keep up with.
Community Summit gives you the chance to spend a few days focused on what’s happening in the Business Central world, rather than trying to squeeze learning into an already busy workday. You’ll have opportunities to learn about new features, updates, integrations, reporting, development, finance, automation, and more.
You can pick the sessions that make sense for you and your role. And hopefully, you’ll go home with a few things you can actually use. You can optimize your Community Summit experience by planning ahead and exploring the agenda of sessions.
Let’s Talk About AI
Of course, we can’t talk about Microsoft right now without talking about AI.
AI and Copilot are becoming a bigger part of the Microsoft ecosystem, and Business Central is no exception. Whether you’re excited about AI or still trying to figure out what it means for your business, Community Summit is a good place to learn more.
Instead of just hearing that “AI is the future,” you can see what people are actively doing with it and start thinking about where it might make sense for your organization.
Learn From People Who Actually Use Business Central
There is something different about hearing from someone who has been in your shoes. At Community Summit, you’ll have opportunities to hear real experiences from Business Central customers, partners, consultants, and experts.
You might hear about a project that went really well or perhaps one that didn’t go quite as planned. Both can be valuable. The lessons learned from someone else’s experience can save you time, help you avoid mistakes, and give you ideas you may not have considered.
I just completed a year-long upgrade project from BC13 to BC27 and will be sharing my experience. The session is called “ERP Upgrade Done Right: Managing Change Without the Chaos“. I will be presenting on Tuesday, October 13at 9:45 AM–10:45. Check out more details about the session here; I would love for you to attend!
Meet the People Behind the Solutions
Summit is also a great opportunity to meet Microsoft partners and other companies working in the Business Central ecosystem.
If you’re a customer, you can learn about solutions and services that may help you get more out of Business Central.
If you’re a partner or consultant, it’s a chance to meet other people in the industry, share ideas, and build relationships.
And if you’ve been trying to solve a particular problem, it’s nice to be able to talk to someone face-to-face instead of sending another email or opening another support ticket.
Take Some Time to Invest in Yourself
It’s easy to get caught up in the everyday work. There are customers to support, projects to finish, meetings to attend, and a never-ending list of things that need to get done. Sometimes you need to step away from all of that. Community Summit gives you a few days to focus on learning and professional development.
You may learn something that helps you do your job better. You may discover a feature you didn’t know existed. Or you may simply come home with a new idea that makes you look at an old problem differently.
Don’t Forget the Community
For me, one of the biggest reasons to attend Community Summit is for the community itself. Business Central has a great group of people who are willing to share what they know.
You’ll meet people who have been working with the product for decades and people who are just getting started. You’ll meet people who work for large organizations and people who support smaller businesses. Everyone brings a different perspective.
Those connections don’t have to end when Community Summit does. The people you meet can become part of your professional network long after you leave the event. Some of my good friends and industry colleagues are people who I met at my first Community Summit conference many years ago.
Nashville Makes It Even Better
And yes, we’re doing all of this in Nashville.
Community Summit North America 2026 will bring the Business Central community together in one place, giving everyone a chance to learn, network, and enjoy some time in Music City.
After a full day of sessions, attendees have an array of restaurants, live music, and places to explore. It’s a pretty good place to have a conference.
It’s Not Too Late to Register
If you’ve been thinking about attending Summit but haven’t registered yet, you still have time.
Take a look at the sessions. Think about what you want to learn. Talk to your team. Reach out to the people you know in the Business Central community. Register for the event. Then make the trip to Nashville.
Whether you’ve been working with Business Central for years or you’re still learning the basics, Community Summit North America is a chance to learn something new, meet some great people, and come home with ideas you can put to work.
Come for the sessions. Stay for the conversations. Leave with ideas you can use. Most importantly, come be part of the Business Central community.
We hope to see you at Community Summit North America 2026 in Nashville!
