Why Business Central Users Should Attend Community Summit

Summit NA Education

How could anyone in the Business Central channel not know about Community Summit NA!?

Summit 2024 reached about 6,000 attendees for Business Central, F&O, CE, Power Platform, Fabric, Copilot, and GP product lines. The event featured over 700 sessions with 500+ speakers leading tips and tricks, how-to and tutorial sessions. There were also 260+ partners including consultants, integrators and ISV partners in the Expo Hall, and Tech Medic Desks where users could bring their questions and get answers from Microsoft, MVPs, and other Experts.

For Business Central, there were close to 150 sessions. Some were be Fast Chats which are smaller topics presented in 25-30 minutes. The regular 50-60 minutes sessions made up 100+ sessions in the tracks of Finance, Administration, Development, Reporting, Manufacturing, Supply Chain/Warehousing/Inventory, Projects & Jobs, Migration, and New to BC, There were also a few Deep Dive sessions to drill into more extensive topics.

Then there were the Microsoft presented sessions that showed new features in the soon-to-be-released Version 25, otherwise known as Release 2024 Wave 2.

Being more of a functional person, I was excited to learn more about Subscription Billing, Financial Report definitions out-of-the-box, and the Power BI Dashboards, also out of the box. Lots of Copilot and Shopify additions and enhancements top the list of board improvements for this new release.

If you’ve seen the preview or watched some of the Youtube videos on the Microsoft Business Central channel, you may have more questions or need more details, Summit is always the place to get those answers. And if you need an add-on product and want to do some shopping and comparing, Summit is the place to be.

But the most important thing that I believe you get from attending Summit is networking. Meeting other users in your industry and/or users that do the same job that you do on a daily basis become invaluable resources. Having the ability to ask other users the question, ‘How do you handle XYZ?’ is a priceless commodity.

Okay, so now, no excuses… mark your calendar for October 19-23, 2025 in Orlando, Florida!
