Let’s continue with the 4th module of ’10 days of Microsoft Fabric challenge’. This module covers the fundamentals of what is Delta Lakes and Delta tables. My key take aways:

    1. Open Source within Fabric, yes Delta Lake is open source, and it is embedded in Fabric!

    2. Delta tables is the essential paradigm in Fabric. Understanding parquet is fundamental.

    3. Static data or Stream data, Delta Lake can handle everything

    4. You can ‘time travel’ in Delta Lake (for real! 😃) This refers to data versioning across time

What are your take aways for this segment @Victoria?

    Data Lake is Open-source.

    It supports querying and modification.

Delta Tables can be used in Apache Spark with ease.

Additionally, data can be loaded from on-premise database to Fabric Lakehouse.
