      Hello,
      Recently I was reviewing an audit of RM00401 (using Auditor) and noticed a huge amount of payments deleted from the table.  Is there a reason, other than someone actually clicking the DELETE button, that records would be removed from RM00401?  For example, I know in SOP, an invoice gets deleted from the open tables when it is moved to history.  In that case, the delete can be a bit deceptive because the transaction still exists and is correct.

      Can anyone give me a high level view of RM00401 and deleting?  Given my table has 26M records, I would assume a record is kept for all trx and never deleted.

      Thanks in advance.
      Jim

      ?Hi

      The RM00401 is the key table –  every transaction in your sales module should have a corresponding entry in this table. ?  This is the table that keeps track of next available trxsorce numbers, etc.

      It is common, though, that if data corruption occurs those transactions that were deleted from another of the Sales/RM tables will also need to be deleted from the RM00401 – I’d find out if someone has had to do some data repair lately.

      Also, CheckLinks could have made the deletion if someone had to run CheckLinks and it found transactions in the RM00401 that were not in one of the corresponding RM/Sales tables – this sometimes happens.. there are a number of reasons, I won’t go into all of them here.

      @Jo deRuiter,
      Thank you!  I see deleted records as recent as today. I spoke with the AR manager and it seems that they delete batches frequently (another issue).  I’ll run a checklinks in my test company to see what happens.
