In Management Reporter, is there a way to build a report using the Legal Entities on the rows?Ā  Currently, we only have reports built using accounts on the rows.?Ā  Any advice would be appreciated, including confirmation that this function may not be possible.
      Thank you!
      ~Jessica

?I haven’t tested this, so it may not work, but it looks like if you build a reporting tree with each of your legal entities as a separate summary line, you can set a specific one for a row by using the Related Formulas/Rows/Units column to specifyĀ which unit you want summarized on that row. In the report definition, you would need to run for company ANY and specify the reporting tree you created there as well.

That’s the only workaround I can findĀ since legal entity isn’tĀ an availableĀ financial dimension.
      ?

Please post an update for your results. We are in the process of bringing on another legal entity which we cannot roll into our Consolidation account, but will have to report on as a separate company. Your testing and results might help our finance department with their reporting.

      thanks,
      Carol

      Hi Everyone,

Below is the advice we received from MS, hope this is helpful! ~Jessica

      —Begin Msg—

There are a couple of ways to add the Legal Entity to a Row Definition depending on the Dimensions that are defined in the system.

      1. If the Legal Entity is specified as a Dimension then that Dimension could be added to the Row instead of the MainAccount.
      2. The more common way is to use a Reporting Unit restriction on the row that is specific to the branch of the Tree for the particular Entity.Ā

      Ā

As an example. Tree as follows: (see MS1 (Tree))
      Reporting Tree

      Ā Row:Ā (see MS2 (Row))

*If possible do not use the same dimensions between the Tree and the Row.Ā

      Ā Row DescriptionColumn:Ā (see MS3 (Column))
      Reporting Column
