After running job queue tasks manually for the last few years, I decided to set up a new NAV instance to be used as a NAS.Ā I changed my Lanham EDI tasks to run on the Job Queue using the NAS and nowĀ we are receiving multiple copies of sales orders received.
Any thoughts?Ā

Is your TP folder inbox being cleared out or are the files remaining there after the NAS pulls?Ā When you were running it manually were you getting any pop-ups that you’d need to answer?

?The incoming EDI 850 files should clear from the inbox folder and into the inboxarchive folder as they are converted.Ā There were no pop-ups to answer, etc. with the previous setup.Ā Ā Previously, it ran on a job queue that I had to manually start at the beginning of each week.Ā Now it is running on the NAS.
OLD SETUP:Ā I would just click Start Job Queue at the beginning of each week:
NEW SETUP –Ā Job Queue runs on a NAS – I just check the “Start Automatically from NAS” checkbox andĀ never touch it again.

Lewis, We’ve had multiple customers receiving EDI on the job queue for several years, some with multiple companies and up to 50 trading partners. The only issue we’ve ever had is with network latency, but this should not be an issue unless you’ve set the job to run every minute or two. Normally every hour should be sufficient. You should also be able to watch the job queue move files in and out of the EDI Common Receive, Inbox and Archive directories by opening multiple instances of windows explorer. This might tell you what’s going on.
