Real Time Reporting with D365 Data Events and Fabric

Session Overview: Are you looking to build real-time dashboards that reflect immediate changes in your Dynamics 365 data? Do you want to track sales orders, production jobs, or warehouse transactions as they happen?
In this session, we will explore how Dynamics 365 Data Events enables the generation of event messages triggered by CRUD operations on data entities. These messages can be streamed to Azure Event Hubs, consumed by a Fabric Event Stream, and ultimately fed into an Event House that serves as the data source for live Power BI reports.
We will dive into several practical use cases for real-time reporting, then guide you through the setup and configuration process for this powerful solution. Finally, we’ll demonstrate how reports are instantly updated as transactions are entered into Dynamics 365.
This session will provide a technical deep dive into the integration of Dynamics 365, Azure, and Fabric, covering key components and best practices. We’ll also address limitations and offer guidance on how to leverage this approach for optimal real-time data delivery.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand Dynamics 365 Data Events
- Understand the Azure and Fabric components necessary to consume real time events
- Identify Fabric data processing and reporting techniques for showing real time data
