    Adding a note in this thread in case anyone else comes across this later on…

    Our developer added code in to calculate the fixed rate. We allow the users to set an amount on the routing link (based on their need) and it rolls down to set a fixed scrap amount on the BOM from there.

    I also update the status of the item and use that to filter. Blocked is definitely a great way to ensure it doesn’t end up being processed through a transaction.

    Thank you, @ianrayhumboldt-io and @robertjolliffe for chiming in. I was afraid the answer would be either we have to do a % scrap or just adjust up the length of the material to include the 1/8″. Appreciate the thoughts!
