Hi all,
I have slicer with hierarchical data like, level 1, level 2, level 3 … using with checkbox slicer. 
Now when data gets refresh, slicer value is not refreshing automatically and if any value added up after refresh it doesn’t appear in slicer. I need to edit the report and remove the fields and replace again then Its working and showing updating values. 
I had single column with hierarchy values, I split the columns into 6 levels and now I have 6 columns (level 1 to level 6).
Everything is fine but the data in slicer not gets update automatically after data refresh.
Also, there are lots of blank cells in those columns as they are split columns, is that the reason for this?
Can anyone explain this behavior and suggest any solution.

If you made selections in a slicer they will “stick” even if during a later data refresh their values are no longer part of the data. There is no function “reset slicer selection on refresh” 

If you don’t like that behavior, look for custom slicers, or raise an idea.

Thanks for the reply. Actually, I haven’t made any selection in slicer. This is just data the slicers  is using (the columns they are using). like there are a category column using the slicer. they have added some more category on db end and after data refresh, those are  not automatically appears in the slicer. I have to edit the report and remove the fields and re added them, then those values are showing in the slicer.
I am using 6 columns i.e hierarchical data with drop down slicer. By default its not selecting anything. 
In those fields I am using in the slicer, when new gets refresh and new row adds, user not able to find that data (new categories). It present in the tables but. For slicer it works when I remove and simply re add them again then the newly added values appears.

Also, In the slicer for one field, I have added the filter to exclude blank cells from the data, as it showing “(Blank)” checkbox in the report. Is that causing the issue?
