      Hello,
I have a problem that I just solve but the solution I just found me to create 2 tables because I use the function EXCEPT so it does not suit me. I am exposing you to the subject.
I have a new employee file that is updated every week in a "Date" field (7/10 / 2019,14 / 10 / 2019,21 / 10 / 2019,30 / 10/2019) and a field " arriving. " I have to find newcomers on every week if there are any. If I use a visual matrix I see newcomers. I would like to find the function that allows me to extract.
I think that must be possible? but on my side I do not have the logic .... thank you for your help.
      I joined the PBIX file

      Hi Pascal,

Please upload the Excel file you used as the data source.
I cannot see or interact with your data because the Excel workbook is on your local computer.

      Hi Pascal,

Sorry about the delay. I got really busy at work.

I have attached your file with two possible solutions.
One uses the Query Editor to group the data set and get the min and max dates.
One uses a DAX calculated column to do basically the same thing.

One problem is that they produce slightly different numbers.
I traced that out to an issue in your data, where one person has the last name spelled differently.Ā
This will make the Query Editor method incorrect, as it uses the last name as part of the group by.
The DAX calculation uses the Code_Apprenant column to do the grouping.

Let me know if you have any questions.

      hello Audrey,
      Thanks for your intervention.
Is Monaco a special case? Where is this kind of information? Of course I will never have thought of that and yet I have looked at the documentation on the subject.

Thank you again and have a nice week end

I think Monaco is a special case because it is considered an independent city-state, rather than a city within a country.
I believe the Vatican works the same way. You have to but in Vatican City.

If you go to Google Maps or Bing Maps and zoom in far enough, you can see the label Monaco Ville or Monaco City.
That is how I figured out what was wrong.
Monaco is considered the country. Monaco City is considered the city.

Thank you for these explanations. If I have a problem on a similar case I will see on Bing or Google.
Thank you for your good answers :-)
