    Dear all,

I am establishing relationships within the ISO 21378 Audit Data Collection Standard data model. OK, it’s a bit much, 52 Primary Keys to 506 Foreign Keys, but it should be possible. However, Power BI Desktop has some trouble with it. If you only have a few relationships to establish, no problem. If you exceed a few hundred relationships and want to add some more, you will receive “Power BI Desktop (Not Responding)”. After which you drink a cup of coffee, and when you have drunk it in peace, the relationship is neatly established.

The problem is I can’t handle that much coffee. Who has a solution?

Don’t do it in Power BI – it can do ETLs, but it is not a heavyweight tool. Do it in SQL Server or another RDB, then build your views/queries on top.
