      ?Hello,
We have been working with Power BI since beginning of this year.
From a high level, this is what we currently have as the set up.
      1) a server with on-prem gateway set up. This gateway has access to all of our SQL data source connections in Dev
      2) a group of power users that have access to Power BI Desktop and they can deploy content to app work spaces.
      3) a group of semi power users that have ‘edit’ access to app work spaces in Power BI service. They don’t develop new reports or data models using Power BI Desktop.
      4) Some end users that have ‘read’ access toĀ apps on Power BI service.
      5) Some demo and testing have been done to the mobile side for the end users to access dashboards and reports that way.

We’d like to transition some of our content to ‘production’ but we haven’t figured out what’s the best practice around deployment strategy?

      My questions are mostly around:
      1) Do you set up another server to install another instance of gateway on there and name that the ‘production gateway’?
      2) what do you do with app workspaces? do you create 2 copies of the app workspaces and use a label likeĀ  dev, or prod to differentiate them?
      3) Do you only publish content from app workspaces to apps whenĀ the content isĀ coming from prod app workspaces?

Has anyone else had done it and have some recommendations? Or has anyone attended the webinar below and have access to the recorded content?

      ?Hi

      Here is the link
      https://www.pbiusergroup.com/viewdocument/top-10-of-data-bi-summit-series-3?CommunityKey=4482c0a7-ba65-4553-81be-a9e37efb3702&tab=librarydocuments

Remember one thing that even if you publish your webapps to apps they both talk to same dataset.

      Regards
