I have been tasked with creating a report in Power BI that will show reservation entry details for users that do not have access to business central but need this data to complete their daily tasks. Looking at the pre-built data sources for business central, it does not look like the table that houses the reservation entries that is already created. Does a web service need to be set up in BC for this in order to bring the reservation entry table into power BI? Or what are my options to bring this in?

      Hi Tracy,

I haven’t used Business Central, but Microsoft has an entire section of docs about Power BI and BC working together that might help you.

      https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/admin-powerbi

Thanks! I was able to figure it out shortly after i posted this but couldn’t figure out how to delete my post. for anyone else that does use BC and is wondering the same thing, you have to add the Page, code unit or query to the web services page in BC. Then that option will show as an available data source in your power Bi – Business central options. šŸ™‚
