Hi,

I have one query that if i want to publish my dashboard so do i need to purchase office 365 licenses as well with Power BI Pro licenses.

i have tried to get this question on google but did not find any clear picture for that so that i put my query here.

Please advise for the same.

Hi Ajeet !

Let’s try to answer it here;

1) You want to publish your dashboard ?
Ans) You can still publish with Power BI (Free) but you that is only limited to [My Workspace] & won’t be able to collaborate with others
2) You want to publish & collaborate within your organization ?
Ans) Surely, if you want to publish your Dashboard & publish it through as an [App] you will need to Power BI (Pro) / Power BI (Premium) and also since you want to collaborate within your organization you need to have Office 365 license as well.
The requirement is different slightly do you already have an Office 365 Tenant or you are using Azure AD in that case you need to check which (E1,E3 or E5) meets your requirements
Power BI will work with E3 & E5 but you need to check with latest information.

Try a free Power BI (Pro) trial & analyze your requirements & then upgrade.

Most of the Power BI Tenant Admin settings you will need to have Office 365 Global Administrator privileges or you will need to add the user as Power BI service administrator either in Office 365 / Azure Portal.
