I am try to enable embedded power BI reports in Dynamics 365 FO. After creating an app in AAD and granting the permissions and all, I moved to the step of enabling Power BI in Dynamics. I entered the app ID and key. I moved then to this interface to get started with Power BI.

I am encountering a problem of authentication between Dynamics 365 FO ( sandbox environment ) and Power BI azure app.

I have read any related posts and documents. I did see some people have same issue but didn’t see any solution posted.

      Can anyone help?

      Best regards

I’m on a mobile device so can’t add screenshots, but I’ve seen this happen before. I’ll also add that you might have more traffic on this issue if posted in the AX/FO UG forums.

Do you have in your azure app, the reply and home urls suffixed with ‘/oauth’?Ā
E.g., msdynamicsinstance.whatever.com/oauth.Ā  I’ve seen this error if those are forgotten.

Additionally, I had this occurring at one point despite having 100% verified everything was correct and ended up taking the url out of the redirected webpage it gave me at the failure screen, removing the special characters after theĀ  ‘whateveraos instance.com embedded in the request url and manually putting in /oauth and it worked.Ā

Thank you for the response Solomon.

I have resolved it. The resolution is disable and re-enable the integration(see following screenshot). I still don’t know why doing this it fixed the issue. But it worked. my guess is this is a bug.

      Thanks
