We use Fixed Allocation accounts – about 476 of them to be exact.  They are based on annual budget revenue of our 84 departments.  Some are actually allocations within allocations, depending on the location and department.  Some just contain a few accounts, but since we have allocations within allocations, some are 84+ entries.  From what I’ve read here, I can use Integration Manager to update them. Can someone point me in the direction of where to find instructions on how to do that?  

Also, assuming that I had the budget numbers entered (which I don’t yet – we are on a July-June fiscal year), can a variable allocation be based on those numbers?

A better approach would be to copy the budget amounts to unit account amounts and then used variable allocation accounts instead.

I agree that most of them could be variable allocations.  Still would like a better way to update the fixed allocations for now, rather than updating them individually.

Hi Lisa,

Recently we were searching for the same answer.  

Even though I was quite new to using the Integration Manager for our Journal Entries, I was able to figure out how to use the tool for uploading our Fixed Allocations.  I created a separate interface for them and it is working great!!

Do you use the Integration Manager for your Journal Entries?

Thank you, Jonelle!  No, we don’t use Integration Manager for journal entries, but we do for sales entries.  I’ll have our IT guy take a look at this.  Seems pretty simple, but we have a LOT of accounts to update.
