How are folks tracking changes to EFT info on vendors?Ā  I plan to contact Rockton and FastPath about their audit tools.Ā  Should I look at anyone else?Ā  Thanks in advance.

We use a basic UPDATE/INSERT trigger on the table to log changes, keeps it pretty simple.

Does your trigger capture the user id as well?Ā  Would you be willing to share the statement?Ā  Thanks.

We use a product called U-LINC which is owned by Cogsdale which is an elaborate product that puts a SQL trigger on whatever table you want to monitor.Ā  For example, we have it setup to put the vendor on hold with any vendor changes like changing the address, eft info, etc…Ā  It then sends an email to someone to notify them of the change.Ā  They then take the vendor off hold if they approve of the changes.

      Hi

You already own GP Power Tools including the Developer Tools module. You can use a custom trigger to track any changes to any fields and even send an email with the details.

      https://winthropdc.wordpress.com/2017/11/09/gppt-using-gp-power-tools-to-track-specific-changes/

This approach would not cost you anything, as you already have the software needed.

I would be willing to help with tweaking the example code for you.

      Regards

      David
