SQL TDE encryption with GP

  Does anyone have SQL transparent data encryption (TDE) enabled for your GP environment? I know TDE works with GP but I’m wondering what the performance impact is with it in place. We’re currently on GP 2018 R2 and plan to move to 18.4 later this year.

  TDE should have minimal impact on your environment. TDE has actually become the standard in Azure SQL DB, so the code is becoming very efficient at encryption/decryption with thew newer versions of SQL and Hardware. Reach out to us if you want to have a deeper conversation about this.
