      Hi all,

I’m using a SmartConnect journal entry (financial) map per GP company and one map is throwing a strange error:

      SmartConnect Error

The map was originally created using the Duplicate Map option, then changing the Company to import to.
I am also using a GP Rolling column for the Journal Entry Number, so I changed the company that the GP Rolling column is pointing to as well.
I also tried creating the map the old-fashioned way – from scratch – same result.
The GP company is only used for quarterly/year-end entries and I can manually create journal entries without issue.
      We’re on SC version 20.16.1.24, with GP 2016 R2.

      Thanks in advance!
      Jeff

      Jeff,

Many times this is a permissions issue with the user running the map.Ā  I don’t know who you are setup to run as, but does the user have the same permissions in both companies?

You can also take a look at this Tech Tuesday on the issue with the common causes for this error. Ā

Let us know if that doesn’t resolve it.

Hi – Thanks for replying. I couldn’t spend any more time on it last week so just used copy/paste to get the FY year-end JEs into the companies.

I’ll take a look – I know we have a specific SmartConnect user – it may not have the correct SQL rights so I’ll check that out.
Also, I don’t recall having to run System Maintenance in SC in the past and we have a lot of custom integrations running 24/7 – what’s the risk involved in running this process? We have 49 GP company databases.

      Thanks,
      Jeff

      Hi Jeff,
Check if this stored procedureĀ [E1_SC_GetNextNumber] is in the Company that you were integrating to.Ā  If not, just copy it from another company that has it and run it to the company.

      Thanks!

      Hi ,

You were correct – all of the “E1_SC_” stored procs were missing in this relatively new GP company – I scripted them out, added a GRANT statement and ran it against each of our company databases. Many of our newer databases didn’t have these SPs.

Worked like a charm – Thanks!

      ?
