Every month I down load all transactions in the unearned income account using Smartlist. I compare the downloaded debits and credits (using parameters Account Number and Date Range) to the Account Summary totals for the month. Every month for 10 months they have always tied out. For Nov and December they do not. The debits tie out but the credits do not. There is a smaller number in the Account Summary than the Smartlist download. Any ideas on what might be happening. I believe the Smartlist numbers are correct but how can I pull a download from the account not using Smartlist. Doing it manually to the Account Summary would be tough due to over 6,000 transactions to review. There are no voided transactions.

I had the same issue once. I found out that in the SmartList shows all the transactions, even the ones that have not been posted. For example, when I integrate something it creates a batch. My manager has to post it before I can see it in the Trial Balance, Summary Balance, etc. You will see that batch in your SmartList even if it has not been posted.

Sebastian is right on. Add these two columns to your Smartlist “Originating Posted Date” and “User Who Posted”:

Note that they do not have data if the entry has not yet been posted. I like to include these fields on every transaction list I generate for this very reason!
