Hi
LOL… me again.
I was asked this at Chicago’s GPUG meeting just last week.
The answer is no, not standard GP.Ā Ā However, ‘s company offers a product called Config AD which is the best I’ve encountered for single sign on.
Here’s a link to the page:

?Hi again!Ā Thanks so much, Jo!Ā We have several of our systems that we are using SSO’s for now and I was hoping there was a way to eliminate yet another password to remember!Ā Thank you so much for your input!Ā It is greatly appreciated š

Hi Guys
GP does have the option to remember user and password which means you can bypass the login. Not quite SSO but it does simplify logging in.
However, I disagree that SSO for an accounting system is a good thing. I like the idea of being challenged again before you have access to financials.
See my article below:

Hey David, we have that option.
Config AD allows true single sign-onĀ (SSO) with Active Directory (this is actually what MS recommends in the GP security manual and then doesn’t provide for the GP desktop). Config AD also allows SSO with theĀ password. This requires a user to enter their AD password again to enter GP. This is useful in scenarios where a user walks away from their desk without locking their system or with a long timeout before the screen saver activates and locks. Additionally, with Config AD, users can effectively be prevented from signing in to GP if they are different from the AD user signed in to the computer. That way, if someone obtained a GP password, they couldn’t use it on any random computer with GP installed.
I just wanted to clarify that in case folks were confused.

We have implemented Config AD at our company and it’s great!Ā No more emails from users forgetting their passwords.Ā I have implemented this product in 2 other companies that I worked for and highly recommend it.Ā Security is a breeze when setting up a user as well.——————————
