Has anyone had to deal with this scenario? Ā If so, what actions do you take to return the serialized items to stock since they are already showing as sold?
Sell s/n to customer xyz Order is cancelled after it ships so you recall package and want to put the items back into new stock but since the serial number shows as soldĀ it won’t allow you to sell it again.
If you just have the serial number marked as sold, that means it is simply just still fulfilled on an invoice, go into that invoice and unfulfill it or void it.
If the serial number has been invoiced it would no longer be in GP and you’d need to issue a return to get the serial number back in.

Yes, sales order has been invoiced. Ā When we create a RMA and receive it in then try to sell it again on another sales order it doesn’t let us fulfill it because it says that serial number is already sold. Ā Is it possible we are not setting up the RMA correctly?
Field Service is notorious for having issues with inventory. I would recommend running Inventory Reconcile against an item that has a serial being marked as sold. If that fixes the issue, I would check to make sure that your RMAs are being fully closed and that you aren’t seeing any error message on any postings.
