I know that INQ_PURCH_VIEWER provides access to the Purchasing All-in-One view.Ā However, in 2016, there isn’t a corresponding security task for the Sales All-in-One view.Ā I’ve looked online and not found any info (thought it might be LIST_SALES_001, but no).ĀThere’s not a task description with “Sales All-in-One View”.Ā
Any ideas?

Hello Jennifer,
Are you asking how to give permissions to the Sales All-in-One View?Ā If so, you can choose the Task ID that you want to add it to and add it yourself.
It is located here:Hope that helps!

Thanks Jean, that’s exactly what I was looking for.Ā I was just expecting it to be listed similarly to PURCH and I didn’t get down to the operation level for RPT tasks.Ā I was looking at LIST and INQ tasks.——————————

Unfortunately, out of the box, Microsoft does not add their new features to your built in GP security roles.Ā Ā So whatever original version of GP you installed is the one that you get the tasks for.Ā
You are in luck though as Derek from Microsoft has kindly posted a blog post that provides a script to add all the missing roles and tasks to your system.Ā Keep in mind this script does not necessarily add to your existing roles, it only adds the missing roles and tasks, so you’ll still want to review your user security roles to see who needs to get what added.
There is a really cool report in GP in your system reports, under security called “unassigned security operations” that will show you every item in GP that is not currently assigned to a user so you know what to focus on.Ā I recommend printing this report out and then writing down the security roles you want to add those operations to so you have an easy cheat sheet. šĀ
