Has anyone developed a good process for removing data in Dynamics?  suggestions on how many years to keep, etc.  My company is heavy in inventory and manufacturing and the ‘remove history’ option seems slow.  I am not sure I can even remove a year of history over a weekend.   Maybe I should be removing 3 months at a time?

pdf reports to print for each module before removing history?

I have also created ‘historical ‘ companies and moved data to these companies also,  prior to removing history,  not sure I shouldn’t just leave it in my live company,  until I permanently remove history?

      Any suggestions would be appreciated!

      Thank you

      Hello Doug,

I would recommend Professional Advantage’s Company Data Archive. It will move history to Historical Companies…but let’s user’s use standard inquiry windows to query Archived and current data!

Let me know if that helps!
