Have a receivableĀ  batch that I’m trying to print and it is throwing an error message.

Error in equation *** ILLEGAL SYNTAX ***Ā  ()’

Ideas on what to look at?

      Good morning ,

Has the report been modified, or had any VBA added to it?Ā  If so, are you able to run the unmodified version?Ā  Is the user having issues printing the report for any other batches?

      Cheers,
      Rod?

Yes it is a modified report.Ā  I do not get an error using the unmodified report.

What are the best ways to determine where the error might be in the modified version?

      Thanks

It seems that you’ve probably recently modified that report in report writer and you probably identified a calculated field incorrectly.

i would either turn security off of that report, or go into your calculated fields and check those out, or delete one or more.

I can explain more if necessary, but perhaps that will give you a head start.

Interestingly, I have taken a working Sales Transaction modified form from one GP install imported into the GP install in question tested it and it works fine.

I have then made the modifications I need, save the form and then test and it works just fine.

If I then go to the modified form at a later date and make any kind of modification it starts to through errors when I print.

I’m not sure what is going on.
