      Hi All,

Does anyone know how we can suppress this box when entering new items in the Purchasing Item Detail Entry window? We are getting this warning when we enter non inventory items and then tab out of the Item field. We would like the box to not pop up, but the Purchases Account field should remain blank, as there is not a default account that non inventory items should go to.  This just started happening last week after our year end updates were installed. Prior to that, we were not receiving a warning box, and the purchases account field would default to blank, allowing the purchasing clerk to enter the correct account.

Two things to check here Colleen:

      In the following order:

      1. Query GL00100 and GL00105 where ACTINDX = 0. If any records are found, delete them.

      2. Query PMPRCHIX from PM00200 where PMPRCHIX not in (select ACTINDX from GL00100)

The only returned values should be PMPRCHIX = 0.

For any not equal to 0 update them to 0.

edit: Also check this: select * from SY01100 where PTGACDSC = ‘Purchases’

Make sure the ACTINDX = 0 as well here.

Thank you so much for the tip, Thaddeus. I ran all the queries you suggested, but nothing came back unusual – no records returned for the queries against the GL tables, and only 0 values returned off the PM and SY tables.

One thing I did not mention, but should have, was that we have MEM installed. MEM was also updated to the latest version right after our GP updates. The next day, we started getting this message box. I disabled MEM, and was able to enter items without the message box. Our Partner is reaching out to Binary Stream to see if they have any ideas.

Great. Not a corrupt account index then. Just a bug in MEM
