      Hi Everyone,Ā

I am looking for experiences using Prophix for budgeting. Specifically, from people who do line item detail budgeting and labor budgeting. Any good or bad experiences out there?

      Thanks!

?Mary, we just implemented Prophix so still learning but so far our experience has been good.Ā  We do line item budgeting.Ā  There is a lot of set up involved, and depending on your GL set up, you should be able to budget by line.Ā  We are still working on the labor piece.Ā  Please feel free to reach out to me directly if you would like to discuss further.

      ?Hi Mary,
We have implemented Prophix back in 2012 or 2013, and it was quite a project.. The setup took extensive coding from Prophix itself to add the code to retrieve the Actuals from all our GP companies, both current and historical data.
We do use the budgeting by line item, though I’m not sure about the Labor.. I know that our payroll master does enter amounts about the head-counts for each departments, so I’m not sure if that’s what you mean .. ?
Once it’s been setup and you know how to work with the tool, it’s pretty solid and efficient. Managers can access their budgets now by using the Web Client which is pretty much identical to the full client.. In the past version 10.x, we had to rely on the full client and it was a little painfull to work with, as we only deployed the client thru our Terminal Server.
