Ex.Ā  We have our posting setup to post sales->Receivables Apply Doc. post to General Ledger and Post Through Gender ledger files.

In our Series Posting windowĀ  i still see the documents sitting there.Ā  They never posted all the way through.Ā  Is there something else i need to do to get these to post all the way through?

You must unmark the checkbox – allow transaction posting – in the posting setup window.
That will solve your issue and force your users to post batches which will then post thru the GL

      Hi Larry,

The Posting Setup window configurations are generally used in “batch level” posting.
RMAPY batches (in GL) are generated when applying MC transactions (in the Sales module) and is considered “transaction level” posting (these don’t post through GL).

Only one of his transaction types is RMAPY and it would not use a batch and create a journal entry when posting in situations such as where a write off or discount is taken in the apply transaction record.
In any case, you always want to unmark ‘allow transaction posting’ in the posting setups window for all transactions not just RMAPY if you want the transaction to post thru the GL in the old GP versions like what you are running.

If you leave “allow transaction posting” marked the transaction will never post thru the GL in these old GP versions.

In the newer versions of GP you have an additional posting option to allow transaction posting and force the transaction to post thru the gl.
See screenshot with additional posting control. circled in red specific to transaction posting such as RMAPY.

      Hi there,

Good point. That feature was introduced in GP 2018.
