I need to create a report to enable the bank’s Positive Pay feature that will be downloadable as a tab-delimited file that includes the following:
1. Check # 2.???? Check Date 3. Check Amount 4. Check Name
In the past I was using the Vendor Check Register Report and then customizing it. Apparently the Payee on the report is truncated and does not agree with the Payee on the check. This is creating false exceptions when the bank matches the payee information to the file we uploaded. Is there a way to expand the check register so the information is not truncated? Or, is there an existing report for Positive Pay? Or, how can I create a report for each check run that can be uploaded?
I look forward to your guidance

?, do you use the Safe Pay feature built into GP? This allows you to easily setup the appropriate file format for sending to your bank. Financial > Routines > Safe Pay

In GP, the “Positive Pay” functionality is called “Safe-Pay”.Ā You basically set it up to match your bank’s format and then after pay runs or whichever time frame you agree with your bank on – you generate the file to a network location and then just upload it to your bank.
