I was wondering if there was a way for the comment from a Purchase Order to show up on a Smartlist. We use the Comment ID’s of either service, maintenance or construction then type the call number in the comment. I created a Smartlist for PO’s and added a column for Comment ID but can’t find a column that would show the Purchasing comment entry. Is this possible? #SmartList

      Hi ,

It is possible.Ā  It’s all about the tables you link together.

I would suggest looking at joining the POP10150 (Purchase Order Comment) to one of your existing tables/views.Ā  I did a quick run in my test company using the Purchase Orders SQL view (the basis of the default Purchase Orders SmartList) and joined it to the POP10150 using the PO Number as the join field, and it worked.

You’ll notice there are several comment fields (Comment 1, Comment 2, etc.) – those are populated if you have multiple lines of text.Ā  I believe the “Comment Text” field will concatenate the lines together depending how you want to see them.

Does that make sense?Ā  If you have questions, please just let me know.

      Thanks,

      Samantha
