Hello, we are encountering a strange issue and I was curious if anyone else out there has come across it or even better knows how to stop it. We are using the Advanced Payroll functionality “Transaction Auto-Split” and are onĀ  2016R2, we also have 2 payroll clerks responsible for building and posting payroll. So when our first payroll clerk runs Build Checks, everything splits just perfectly. But then once the other payroll clerk goes in and builds a separate payroll, the already split transactions will be split again. This happens even though the clerks are working on separate payroll batches with separate Default IDs. Has anyone run into this happening?

Just thinking out loud here, but does the problem only appear when you have two unprocessed batches? If the first clerk’s batch is posted, is the second clerk’s batch OK?

Only if there is two unposted payroll batches. So when the first payroll batch is built, everything is fine with the splits. It is when the second batch is built (while the first is still unposted) that the transactions from the first batch are split yet again.

Just to clarify a bit, the second clerk’s batch is perfectly fine, it is just the first clerk’s batch where the splits are re-split.

      Hi Matthew,

Looks like you found a bug. Integrity Data still maintains the functionality in the Human Resources & Payroll Suite. As such, I did a quick look at the code and see where are not respecting the relatively new multi-user payroll functionality when splitting transactions.

I will make our product team aware of this issue as well as at Microsoft. If you can report this to Microsoft as well, either directly or through your partner, that would be good.

I’m not sure if/when this will get addressed, but wanted you to know that you weren’t seeing double :-).

      Have a great day!
