Our payroll software TIME FORCE is no longer offering updates and we need to review new payroll software avenues.
We have spoken with two representatives one uses KRONOS, the other uses ISOFT but neither company has ever heard of Microsoft Dynamics GP to know if integrating the payroll information into GP will be easily done.I am looking for anyone that has their payroll outsourced and if you have used a software that works well with GP or have NOT worked well with GP.
Thanks in advance for your time,

We have several clients using Kronos. Regardless of their knowledge of GP, you would need to provide them a layout of the columns needed for their file.
Basically,
Column Name
Description
Pay Period Begin Date
Pay Period End Date
Employee ID
Pay Code
Hours
Pay Rate
You probably don’t need this. You’d either want all records to have it or not include the column.
Department
If you will use the employee’s home department, you don’t need it.
Position
If you will use the employee’s home position, you don’t need it.
State Code
If you will use the employee’s home state tax code, you don’t need it.

If you’re wanting to use a different payroll application altogether as opposed to just the time entry, then there are several solutions. One of my healthcare clients uses ExponentHR. There’s also Paylocity.

We just switched over to BenefitMall Payfocus Pro with Attendance on Demand. We were using GP directly for payroll for almost 20 years, but this allowed us to give a better self-service for our employees for insurance benefits management, plus training videos, etc that was provided through our Insurance Agent. They have time clock punching (physical device, web-based, or app based), and our employees can access/change/enroll their insurance forms, download cards, etc online or via the app. Basically payroll is now a one-stop-shop for our employees now. They were able to produce the ADP type import file, so all we have to do is download the file, and run the internal built-in payroll connect integration in GP. I just handed them the Microsoft GP Payroll Connect Manual, and a dump of all of our GL accounts, and they were able to provide us with the file as a custom report in our system without any hassle.

Hi ?
Finding a payroll solution does not always mean that it has to seamlessly integrate with GP.Ā
Many users find the best payroll software fit for them and if that software can produce a .csv or excel export of its information you can use SmartConnect or even Integration Manager to integrate it into GP.Ā If that software keeps its own DB in SQL it makes this process even easier.
I would focus more on finding a payroll solution right for you and then working with an integration program to bring that into GP.
