Are there any third party options for a better pay stub?  We would like to have more options on what we can put on the stub and how it looks.  We currently print on check stock with the check number and micr information already on the checks.

PrintBoss also gives you some options, as well as Greenshades for online presentation.  Integrity Data has a module for emailing stubs, but I can’t remember what the format looks like.   All that said, if you want to invest the time, you can do quite a bit in Report Writer – it’s just not quick and easy.

?Not sure if you are looking to email the stubs but Binary Stream E-mailer can do both out of the box and custom pay stubs (uses a crystal report file as the basis for the attachment) for US payroll.   We currently use it for our custom Canadian Payroll Pay Stubs (displays and organizes in the way we want it) and also for EFT AP payment notifications.   The only draw back from this program is that the PDF files are not encrypted, so if that is something you need to worry about, then I don’t think this would be viable for your situation.  

It comes with it’s own PDF printer (Nova PDF modified just for Emailer)  or you can use Adobe Acrobat full version with it.
